During the residency Tim Cross builds landscape drawings with playful marks to create unique and wonderful imagery of the restored greenbelts along the Duwamish River. An all around good guy and a Northwest native, Tim works in painting, drawing and sculpture. He teaches drawing and ceramics at Edmonds Community College, and occasionally curates exhibitions at Valley and Taylor, his home-based gallery. Tim received a BA at Evergreen State College (1995) and an MFA at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (2003). Not surprisingly he particularly loves line and drawing and, well, and just making pictures. He is represented by Linda Hodges Gallery in Seattle.
